Dorria is the Founder and President of the Global Ballance Group (GBG). GBG was formed to leverage Dorria’s extensive global leadership, organizational effectiveness insights, social advocacy and vast network as she passionately works to ensure all stakeholders are seated at critical tables of influence shaping both corporate and external culture.
CORPORATE EXPERIENCE
Dorria began her career in retail management and consumer product sales with Venture Stores and Playtex Family Products. She then spent the most seminal period of her career with Kraft Foods starting in Sales Management and ultimately moving into a Human Resources career, holding roles of increasing responsibilities domestically and internationally. Her most recent roles include Vice President of Human Resources Latin America and Vice President of Human Resources North America Sales and Global Diversity.
Dorria is considered a respected disrupter leading change which inspires organizations and individuals to grow personally and professionally. Authentic, courageous and results driven are hallmarks of her professional and personal brand, evidenced by her leadership of high performance teams and organizations across a variety of business categories and functions including: Beverages, Snacks and Grocery through both steady state and dynamic M&A environments.
COACHING APPROACH
As an HR Senior Executive she advised and coached many senior leaders globally and now as a Columbia University certified Executive Coach and student of ICF processes and practices she continues this work through GBG. Dorria’s coaching practice focuses on aspiring and current c-suite executives, executives navigating transitions including end of career and beyond.
Referred to as the “ Millennial Whisperer” her many years mentoring emerging young executives speaks to her passion of paying it forward by nurturning next generation corporate leaders. She consults and speaks on a variety of subjects including leadership, diversity/culture/inclusion and navigating transitions and organizational development.
CULTURE/ COMMUNITY
Dorria’s lifelong passion and appreciation for the role of the arts in shaping culture lead to her role as Executive Producer of the theatrically released documentary “ A Ballerina’s Tale” (about Misty Copeland the First African American woman promoted to principal dancer by the American Ballet Theater in the company’s 75-year history).
Dorria has focused her stewardship on a variety of Boards, community and corporate initiatives which align closely to her personal and professional priorities including: Board member Network of Executive Women, The Executive Leadership Council, former Board Co-Chairperson of Dress for Success Worldwide, former Advisory Board member for Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund and Steering team member of the William J. Clinton Foundation’s Harlem Small Business Initiative and member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
Dorria was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington. She currently resides in Westchester, New York.
